P-088 HOW TO REPAIR A LATERAL INCISIONAL ABDOMINAL WALL HERNIA?

Abstract Aim To present our original method for surgical treatment of patients with lateral incisional hernia (LIH) Material and Method Patients LIH simultaneous presence a middle (MIH) were treated by technique based on the principles anterior component separation sublay technique: a) skin subcutaneous tissue incision along midline MIH dissection; b) dissection in direction to Spiegel line or edge side LIH; c) vertical external oblique muscle (EOM) d) rectus (RM) from its posterior sheath opposite e) suturing RM f) internal g) onlay polypropylene mesh hernioplasty. Results Between January 2013 May 2022, 44 consecutive LIH+MIH underwent surgery. A median (range) defect surface was 90 (20–270) cm2. During mean follow up 14 months postoperative complications occured seven (15,9%) patients: seroma three, hematoma two, infection recurrence one. Conclusion Our can be one good solutions MIH.
